Beginning in summer, 2009, Delta will offer a nonstop flight between Salt Lake City and Tokyo, according to this Desert News article . Below are excerpts. The flight will begin in the summer 2009. The Atlanta-based carrier credited its merger with Minneapolis-based Northwest Airlines Corp. for creating the opportunity for new flights to Tokyo. Northwest has a hub at the Tokyo airport. Salt Lake City International Airport is a hub for Delta and will remain so with the merged airline, which will be called Delta and will be based in Atlanta...
